Cooper Tire Service Also Horrible in Virginia. Cooper Tires will kill you !

We bought four (4) brand new Cooper tires.

At 16,000 miles, all four tires were worn down to the metal. (Photos available)

Our local dealer refused to deal with it and forwarded

the problem back to Cooper.

On September 22, 2010

Cooper refused the warranty and denied any fault.

We were so lucky that no one was killed.

DON'T BUY COOPER TIRES !!!

Customer Service????. I have had to go back in three different times in a month, since they put on my new tires. I first had to go in for a vibration that started soon after I got the tires, due to the new tires being out of balance when they were put on. The other two times I had gotten a nail in a tire and had to have it patched, they rushed me along cutting me off mid-sentence while I was explaining what I needed, and when they had completed the task, I found both times that my spare tire was sitting in the backseat of my car. I am a very small woman so putting it back in the trunk is not an easy task for me. They all acted like they were too busy to help when I went back in to attempt to get help with the spare, completely ignoring me. I believe that next time I will pay extra somewhere else to get the customer service.

Not sure they know what they're doing. I've had the same brake problem for about a year and a half now. I've taken it back to them more than 7 times and still am having problems!! They've replaced brake pads about 3x, calipers 2x, rotors, and now the emergency brake cable. Guess what - it's still not fixed!! I don't know what it takes, but I'm not paying any more money to fix it!! I'm to the point where I'm never going back, never recommending the company to anyone, and asking for them to pay for the repair cost for me to take it to the dealer and get it done right. I've heard every excuse from "that model year has tricky brakes", to "sometimes we just can't get the brakes shimmed exactly right". Somehow, I don't think it's the car or the parts. It seems worse ever since they touched it. I'm pretty much convinced they can handle replacing batteries, tires or making oil changes (because they can do that well), but they probably have no business doing any other type of auto repairs because in my experience, they don't know what they're doing! I guess it's pretty telling when a former employee tells you that they wouldn't ever take their car there for repairs.
